Welcome to the World of Aquaria

I always feel peculiar when I upload videos of my aquariums to YouTube and file them under Pets and Animals. Animals is definitely correct, but pets I’ve always though of as family members that are animals. I don’t think my tank inhabitants make that cut. Anyway, I got some new additions to my tank, my Olive Nerite Snails. They eat algae. They mate. They do them both at the same time. It’s not overly interesting, but this is apparently what these snails do all day from my observations.
Bonus points for guesses on the blurry fish in the background.

My guess is a Yellow Gourami. Am I right? When my sis and I were kids we kept a lot of labyrinth fishies and molly-type fishes and a few angels…. mainly b/c our dad was soooo into keeping fish also. Have you thought about any discus fish for a bit of a challenge? They are pretty!!
Good eye. Gold Gourami is definitely one of the fishes moving in the background.
I’ve contemplated Discus, but I currently have to move and pay for a big house. No more upgrades for now unfortunately.
It is an interesting collection. I used to have a 10 gallon aquarium which had a 6 year old Aruwanah. Too bad, it died. never got myself to having a new one.
Arowanas get much too large for a 10 gallon tank. That’s probably your problem right there.
